I'm working at AmericanTours International LLC, Asian Department. My comapny is travel operator. We bring people who is from other countries to visit USA. I'm working at BASES which is a division of the Nielsen Company. Basically BASES works with manufacturers such as P&G, Unilever,etc.. to evaluate and optimize their new initiatives prior to launch. I'm part of the analysis group which is responsible for combining consumer measures with marketing plan information to forecast sales volume.
Currently, I'm working on a meta analysis of ice cream concepts for Unilever. Basically, I do preliminary coding for different ice cream concepts and add onto a spreadsheet to track key measures and database rankings. The objective of this meta analysis is to assist Unilever in optimizing the concepts for further development.
I am working as an intern at ISCA Technologies. The company was founded by Dr. Agenor Mafra-Neto in 1996. ISCA’s mission is to provide integrated pest management solutions that are economical, effective, and ecologically friendly. Most importantly, their solutions do not have the harmful side effects of many conventional pest management techniques that rely solely on insecticides.
One of the tasks I did was leading the market analysis for one of their newest products, the Zumba Mosquito Trap. This is a product that came to existence as a result of a government grant. Although the trap is very effective, it is somewhat complicated and has design challenges. This has resulted in poor commercial sales and no repeat customers. The goal of this analysis is to interview past customers and identify problems with the trap and then to present suggested improvements for a revised trap.
