About the eLab Global Panel

The eLab Global Panel is looking for people just like you!

eLab at the University of California, Riverside, is the pioneering virtual research lab and online panel for the study of online consumer behavior.  We invite people from all over the world to join our panel and participate a few times a year in our innovative online experiments and surveys about how people behave in the digital world. All of our projects are academic research studies conducted by eLab faculty and their students at the University of California.

Why should I join?

1) You will help advance academic knowledge. The eLab Global Panel enables University of California faculty and graduate students to conduct original research using Web-based surveys and experiments. This research is published in scholarly academic journals.

2) You can influence business practice.  Faculty who run studies using the eLab Global Panel are affiliated with the UCR Sloan Center for Internet Retailing, and interact with leaders of the Internet retailing industry.  Your answers can influence how companies do business with you online.

3) You will enjoy it! Over the years, many panelists have written to us that they’ve enjoyed participating in our online research studies. Each study is unique, and our academic studies are often quite different from typical market research studies you may have participated in before.

4) Last but not least, all eLab Global Panelists are eligible for prize drawings.  A monthly drawing is open to all new panelists. In addition, each study has its own drawing open to all those who complete the study.

Prizes

1)  Monthly Prizes.  Every month UCR eLab holds a random drawing for a cash prize of $100.  All new registered panelists will be eligible for this monthly prize drawing in the month they join the panel.

Drawings are held the last day of every month. Monthly drawing winners are notified by email, and will receive their checks within about 6-8 weeks of the drawing date. Prizes must be claimed within 2 weeks of notification.

2) Research Study Prizes.  Each research study has its own prize drawing, with one or more prizes (cash, gift certificates, or product).  The type and size of the incentives in a given research study's prize drawing will be announced when we email panelists and invite them to participate in a research study.

Prizes for each research study drawing must be claimed within 2 weeks of notification. Any research study prizes which remain unclaimed 2 weeks after notification will be awarded to another panelist who has completed that study.
