UCR Sloan Center for Internet Retailing

I love finding new people to follow on twitter, (and by the way, I'm @dualicious) and I love following businesses just to see how they are using Twitter.

Somehow I stumbled upon @LuxorLV last night and @MGMGrand, two hotels on the Vegas Strip. Next thing I know, someone @vegascom found me - the Vegas.com website which features a one-stop shop for all hotels and shows and more in Vegas.

I friended these Tweeple, since Vegas is only 3 hours away, and I could get a great deal over Twitter someday, however, it's awesome that these Vegas posts aren't the only hotels Twittering. Twitter is becoming a useful marketing/PR/sales tool for the hotel industry and this is great for those tech lovers who travel.

Could you benefit from these hotels on Twitter?

Edit: Here's a great post I found with an interview with Brandie, the person behind the interactive marketing at Luxor and MGM Mirage!

Twitter seems to be the new marketing tool. But it´s quite complicated to use for such purposes to my opinion. What do u think?
