eLab eXchange.
With Blackberry market share on the rise,
Research in Motion is set to launch the
BlackBerry App Store, their application store for BlackBerry handsets. One catch, they just won't say when.
Despite a 7.2% jump in market share from Q3 2008 to Q4, and the launch of several new handsets RIM stock has taken quite a tumble. RIM stock was riding high in early 2008 and hit $147.55 last June, only to crash later that year. It has since remained at a relatively low value, $44.90 (3/23/2009).
With the launch of BlackBerry App World RIM hopes to tap into their large market share and attract new users with a more iPhone like experience. But, will it bring RIM stock back to the levels seen in early 2008?
