Not so long ago, in the land of brick-and-mortar stores, many businesses sought to be "the third place". The concept is that, if home is the first place, and work is the second place, then a good gathering place for the community is the third place. It's no accident that so many bookstores have coffee shops inside, or that small restaurants have wifi. The goal is to get people to come, stay, and come back.Tags:
