Training Internet Retailers- will it be taken seriously?

Is training for development important for employees in an organisation? If yes, what kind of training programs do you think employees enjoy while attending them? Organising Training and Development programmes for employees has been a key function of the HR department. Well they say these programmes help in skill enhancement. Does a person become a pro in sales after a sales training program? Does his performance show any significant improvement? Or is he just sitting through a program.... listening and ... enjoying being there having done that! Do these programs act as stress busters? Or do these programs only give you a break from your routine tasks that are so stressful. There is a grave scop for training internet retailers as all want to reach out to their customers by breaking the geagraphical barriers using the digital medium. they need desperate training to meet their customers. But are they serious about training? Lets find answers...
